【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversrigidplasticcompoundsintendedforuseinmakingnonpressurepipingproductscomposedof(1)poly(vinylchloride)polymer,(2)chlorinatedpoly(vinylchloride)polymer,or(3)vinylchloridecopolymers,andthenecessarycompoundingredients.Thecompoundingingredientsmayconsistoflubricants;stabilizers;non-poly(vinylchloride)resinmodifiers;colorantsorpigments,orboth;fibrousornonfibrousreinforcements;orfillers.1.2Therequirementsinthisspecificationareintendedforthequalitycontrolofcompoundsusedtomanufacturepipeorfittingsintendedfornonpressureuse.Theyarenotapplicabletofinishedpipeandfinishedfittings.SeetheapplicableASTMstandardsorrequirementsforfinishedproducts.1.3Itmaybenecessary,inspecialcases,toselectspecificcompoundsforunusualpipingapplicationsthatrequireconsiderationofotherpropertiesnotcoveredinthisspecification,suchasservicetemperature,sagresistance,specialchemicalresistance,weatherresistance,bendingforces,andelectricalproperties.1.4RigidPVCcompoundsforpressureapplicationsarecoveredinSpecificationD3915.1.5RigidPVC-typecompoundsforbuildingapplicationsotherthanpipingarecoveredinSpecificationD4216.1.6RigidPVCcompoundsforgeneralpurposeextrusionandmoldingusearecoveredinSpecificationD1784.1.7Therateofburningtest,TestMethodD635,isusedinthisspecificationasatestforidentificationofcertainpropertiesofthecompound.1.8Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninbracketsareforinformationonly.1.9Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotesandfootnotesthatprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthisspecification.1.10RigidPVCandCPVCrecycleplasticsmeetingtherequirementsofthisspecificationmaybeusedinsomeapplications.RefertothespecificrequirementsintheMaterialandManufactureSectionoftheapplicableproductstandard.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1TherearenoISOstandardscoveringtheprimarysubjectmatterofthisspecification.
